What a fabulous site. I have the deepest admiration and appreciation for Mickey & Karen Taylor for the care of this great champion in his final days and weeks. His legacy and greatness carry on to this day and there is no doubt - Seattle Slew is THE most influential sire of the last 30 years. What a story - just finished all the blood-horse articles - they read as I read them 30+ years ago after the triple crown wins -- may the on-going celebration of his life continue!!!!!!!!!

In 1977 friends of mine went to the Preakness, saw Seattle Slew win the race and decided that we better make arrangements to go to the Belmont. We did and had a wonderful time. A friend had 2 press passes so after the race we went to the winners circle and my father saw me on TV. What a thrill for both of us. Thank you

I see that Council Member has once again drawn the outside post in a sprint. What's up with that? Darn it.

On this day of the Kentucky Derby we remember the greatest racehorse ever to run. Thank you for creating and maintaining this site, and keeping Slew's memory alive.

The pundits of the sport seem to forget you Dear Slew but you are never very far from my mind and always in my heart. I was blessed with a real treat this a.m. when the announcer said that Honest Pursuit was your grandaughter and she won wow! I went right to my treausre trove of newspaper articles and internet prints I have of you and what a wonderful time I had browsing through them. Many horses have come and gone since you were here but you remain my very very favorite and I hope you enjoy the Derby tomorrow.
