2/15/23 - Happy Birthday, Seattle Slew

Forty-nine years ago, at 7 p.m., at White Horse Acres in Lexington, Kentucky, God provided the horse racing world a gift and the next year, that gift — you — came to us.

We were your owners and caretakers. Mickey always put you first.

We thank God for you, Slew.

We also have to thank our family, the Slew Crew, the Seattle Slew syndicate and all the breeders who sent their great mares to visit you. We thank your dear friends, Albert Finney (in heaven) and John Sikura, Jr. We thank Don Alberto Farm.

We thank them all and celebrate your birthday.

You had speed, courage, spirit and an unmatched heart.

We love and miss you every day.
